EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are you accepting new clients?
I am accepting new clients for therapy! Feel free to book a free 15-minute consultation so we can explore whether we're the right fit to work together.
  • What can I expect during my first session with you?
Our first session is all about meeting you where you are. There is no rush or expectation—just a gentle opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy. We’ll begin to explore your goals and hopes for this process, laying the foundation for meaningful work together, always guided by what feels most supportive for you.
  • How often should I attend therapy?
Therapy is a deeply personal journey, and the frequency of sessions depends on what feels right for you. Many clients find that weekly or biweekly sessions provide a steady rhythm for growth and reflection. However, we can adjust the schedule to fit your needs, goals, and life circumstances as we go along.
  • Are your services covered under insurance benefits?
Many health benefit plans cover psychotherapy services. You’ll receive a digital receipt after each session, which you can submit to your insurance provider. Since coverage can vary, it’s helpful to reach out to your plan to confirm the details in advance.
  • Are you offering in-person sessions?
At this time, I am not offering in-person sessions. All sessions take place online through a secure application (JaneApp) or by phone, providing a convenient and accessible way for us to work together.
  • Do you offer a reduced rate or sliding scale options?
Yes, I understand that financial concerns can sometimes make it difficult to seek support. To help with this, I offer sliding scale options. My aim is to make therapy accessible and manageable for you. We can discuss what arrangement might best support your needs and circumstances.
  • I am in a state of crisis. Who do I contact?
If you are experiencing a crisis or need urgent support, please reach out to Crisis Services Canada at 1-833-456-4566 or the Distress Centre Helpline at 905-688-3711. For immediate emergencies, call 911 or visit the nearest hospital emergency department.
